3. Request a production sample—not a sales sample

4. Demand a pinhole test (ASTM F392) for vacuum bags
Don’t just rely on the OTR. Ask: “What’s the pinhole count after 40 cycles on the flex tester?” If the supplier doesn‘t know what that means, they’re not a serious vacuum bag manufacturer.
5. Clarify the shipping and storage conditions
Some bag structures are sensitive to humidity or UV light. Aluminum foil layers can corrode if exposed to high humidity during storage. Ask for the recommended storage condition and the shelf life of the empty bag.
